TICKS & FLEAS If the destination country highly controls ticks &/or fleas, and requires your pets to be treated against ticks and/or fleas, then your chosen vet will have treated your pet prior to shipment (as required, and evidenced by the certificates  your vet creates). Our vet does last vet work, and an thorough check of your pet just prior to flight. Your pet then flies in proximity to other pets on the aircraft. If to Australia, or New Zealand, your pet travels via Dubai (a world class facility, where it is doubtful that ticks or fleas might commute from another pet to yours, but it's possible). Landing at destination, your pet could be corralled in proximity to other pets, and be carried in ground handling equipment with other pets, and briefly warehoused with other pets (still in it's flight kennel). It is unlikely that your pet will be found to have ticks &/or fleas; however, if it should, THEN YOU WILL PAY FOR THE FULL QUARANTINE PERIOD OF YOUR PET WITHOUT ANY FINANCIAL INVOLVEMENT OF PETFLIGHT, OR THE VETERINARY SERVICE THAT WE USE, OR ANY CARRIER, OR SUB-CONTRACTOR EMPLOYED IN THE MOVEMEMENT OF YOUR PET. PETFLIGHT, AND THE COMPANIES CONTRACTED, ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DISCOVERY OF TICKS AND/OR FLEAS ON YOUR PET AT DESTINATION. KNOW THAT IN ALL THE YEARS WE HAVE BEEN SHIPPING, IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE USING OUR SERVICE, AND IT IS NEVER EXPECTED TO HAPPEN; BUT THINGS DO HAPPEN, AND PETLIGHT ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM HAPPENING TO YOUR PET(S).
HARC APPROVAL Heathrow Animal Reception Center accepts all pets from around the world into England - they check the animals, all the paperwork, and sanitize the facility between animals seen. It takes them time to do this. For pets going to England, the airline will not give us their air waybill (booking the pet on a specific date to fly) without HARC approval, it is generally taking HARC 3-4 weeks to give approval for a pet to fly. When you sign and email our contract back to us, we pre-advise our London agent everything about you and your pet(s) that you gave us on our quote request in order to start the process getting HARC approval. We do nothing until we get our signed contract back. So the sooner you decide to use Petflight, the sooner you will get HARC approval, the more likely it is that your pet will fly on the intended airline on the intended date. What guarantee is there your pet will fly as we intend? None, the HARC doesn't provide authorization until about a week prior to the intended flight, and they are estimating how much work/time they have ahead of your pets. What happens if HARC doesn't accept your pets? We will be told when HARC approval has not been given (about a week prior to the intended flight), and we will let you know your pets can't fly as booked - depending on you can do about boarding your pets in the interim, we will let you know the date the HARC can accept your pet(s) and we will still require you board your pet(s) 2 days at our vet prior to flight (we don't work weekends, or Canadian public holidays), and will advise you what the difference in the cost you will be (that you will pay us prior to flight, or your pet doesn't fly).
YOUR PETS' FLIGHT IS POSTPONED OR CANCELLED IF (NOT LIMITED TO):
PAYMENT: If you don't pay our invoice (and/or our agent's invoice) in the timeframe that we require payment within, then we'll phone you, email you, try to inform you of your obligation to immediately pay; however, in a timeframe of our choosing, if payment has not been received, we postpone your pet(s) shipment by as many days or weeks as required, or cancel shipment (WITHOUT YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT, OR APPROVAL, REGARDLESS OF A SIGNED CONTRACT) - PAY OUR INVOICE, AND ANY SUBSEQUENT ADDITION(S).
VET DOCUMENTS: If your vet can't test, treat, and/or certify according to our instruction and offer vet signed PERFECTED originals within the timeframe allowed, picked up before required at our vet for certification, then your pet doesn't fly - shipment will be postponed or cancelled. AT THE ABSOLUTE LATEST, YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR VETS' ORIGINAL PERFECTED RABIES CERTIFICATE(S), AND ALL OTHER REQUIRED CERTIFICATION ON THE DAY YOUR PET GOES INTO OUR VET (2-4 DAYS PRIOR TO FLIGHT AS STATED). IT'S NOT UP TO PETFLIGHT TO MOTIVATE YOUR VET TO FOLLOW OUR DIRECTION, AND GET THE JOB DONE - WE ARE GOING TO INVOLVE YOU IF THEY CLEARLY WON'T FOLLOW DIRECTION, BUT IN THE END, THEY'RE YOUR VET, AND PETFLIGHT WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS/INACTION.
YOUR INVOLVEMENT: If you can't follow our direction, and/or provide documents we request, contact details, destination address, postal code, phone number, then we'll phone you, email you, try to inform you of your obligation to give us what we ask for; however, in a timeframe of our choosing, if you haven't done as we asked, we are going to postpone shipment by as many days or weeks as it takes, or cancel shipment entirely (WITHOUT YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT, OR APPROVAL, REGARDLESS OF A SIGNED CONTRACT) - GIVE US THE INFORMATION WE REQUIRE, OR EMAIL US WHEN WE CAN EXPECT WHAT WE ASKED FOR (PHONE US WITH THE INFORMATION IF THERE'S A BREAKDOWN IN COMMUNICATION).
KENNEL: If the kennel we quoted you is not delivered by you with the pet, and/or the pet is not the dimensions/breed that you asked us to quote on, then (WITHOUT YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT, OR APPROVAL, REGARDLESS OF A SIGNED CONTRACT) - IF YOU CAN'T GET THE CORRECT KENNEL TO OUR VET BEFORE THE VET CLOSES FOR THE DAY, THEN THE SHIPMENT WILL BE POSTPONED, OR CANCELLED AT YOUR ADDITIONAL COST. MEASURE YOUR PETS (ACTUALLY PULL A TAPE), KNOW YOUR ANIMALS' BREED OR BREED MIX, AND GET THE RIGHT KENNEL AS WE DICTATE IN OUR QUOTE (BASED ON YOUR INFORMATION TO US).
