Should your veterinarian fail to perform exactly the specifically named tests that we have taken the time to fully research and instruct them to perform, use exactly the prescribed treatments we have indicated that they use, or fail to identify your pet(s) properly in the test request(s) they send to laboratories, then it is entirely the fault of the veterinary service you chose to use, and we refuse to accept any financial involvement in their failure(s). We will tell you what damage has been done BY YOUR VET, we will explain to them how they must correct the damage they caused, we will do what can be done to correct the damage; however, we will require more money from you for working to resolve the damage, (regardless of the time remaining before flight when test results come back, or don't come back, or were improperly described in the test requests they did, or didn't do, or were improperly tested, or not tested at all).

LIABILITY You have signed our "SHIPPERS CERTIFICATION FOR LIVE ANIMALS, CONTRACT OF CARRIAGE, AND WAIVER", you have signed that you have carefully read it, fully understood it, accepted the provisions, and signed it as your own free act of your own will and accord. You have agreed not to hold liable Petflight, their Agents, Carriers, Handlers, Veterinarians, or Quarantine Personnel, should the Animals suffer injury, illness, or death while in the care of each, and/or any of these as stated. That any of these companies may be regarded as a subcontractor of Petflight in the routing of your pet(s) to the destination stated on our quotation (and contract) is not our acceptance of those company’s service burdens, financial burdens, and/or legal burdens in any way.
DAYS AT VET We take your pet(s) to a veterinary hospital of our choosing for at least a couple of nights to destress them, and for our vet to keep an eye on your pet(s) - it's also a security measure in this age of terrorism. Whichever vet (yours or ours) provides the Health Certificate is who is responsible for doing the clinical health exam to opinion whether your pet is too sick or infirm to endure the flight. If your pet becomes obviously in distress while at the veterinary clinic of our choosing, we will let you know when we know, and what our vet is doing about it, and at what cost to you. Only a handful of times has our vet held a pet back because the pet was in medical distress, and in all cases the pet flew within a week or two. Never, in all the years we’ve been shipping cats, and dogs, have we ever had a pet suffer injury, or die on-route.
INSURANCE Petflight Incorporated does not insure. You are instructed to contact an insurance agent to learn from them exactly what coverage you get for how much money you spend. The airline expressly limits their financial liability to a maximum of about $200 based on the weight of your animal(s), and you settle with them without our involvement should there be a claim. Petflight will pay no money for loss, injury, or death or your pet(s) no matter how-so-ever caused.
HEAT EMBARGO Airlines have a temperature limit over which they will not fly live animals - they're concerned your pets will die. Air Canada limits live animal shipments to temperatures under 29.5oC - at or over this limit, they "Embargo" live animals from the flight (that is to say, they will not fly live animals). TheWeatherNetwork provides a forecast for Malton that you can check yourself. Should a Heat Embargo be called against your pet(s) flying, your pet(s) will not fly - Petflight has not been contracted to move your pets by any means to destination, but rather, specifically, to fly them on that particular flight, that airline, that day. Petflight has no control over any airline. When an airline refuses to fly your pets, you will pay more, as Petflight advises you, and requires payment prior to flight.
SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE YOUR PET(S) ON DAYS OTHER THAN THOSE WE SPECIFY, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME. We will tell you what damage you have done by not doing as instructed. We will explain how to correct the damage. We will do what can be further done to correct the damage, but the cause of the damage is entirely yours, and your costs to absorb, and we will require more money for our involvement to correct the damage.
CONTACT The world is made up of time zones. In almost every case, your pet is going to a destination several time zones ahead of Toronto, landing there at 5 in the morning Toronto time or earlier. You will be contacted by the destination agent there if anything needs your attention, Petflight will not contact you. On the flight date, we are likely to call/email letting you know your pets have been checked into the airline in Toronto, they're healthy, and happy, and it's now entirely in the hands of the overseas agent to complete the job. We do not phone you or email you to advise you that you’ve received your pet(s) at the destination you moved to - it’s stupid redundant. If you've chosen not to include an agent, then Petflight has nothing to do with destination release, and it is entirely up to you to work out for yourself (by yourself) how to get the advice note from the airline cargo facility, go to customs, clear customs, pay duties, taxes, get release, pay terminals, and take your pet(s) home by yourself.
GUARANTEE What guarantees can Petflight make? Petflight guarantees that after 26 years in business, we know what we're doing to countries we frequently ship to, and to the ones we don't, we make use of the most up to date information that IPATA, the CFIA, and the destination agent supplies. We guarantee that the kennel we purchase will be acceptable by the airline for the size, weight, age, and breed of your pet (BASED ON THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE, NOT THE PET YOU GIVE US). We guarantee the documentation will be perfect (UNLESS YOUR VET REFUSES TO WORK WITH US). Apart from that - we do not  guarantee (not limited to): that your pet has a microchip in it, your pets' health, it's breed, or that you'll be home when we come to pick up, or the weather, or the traffic, that one of our vans won't break down, that the airline will accept your pet, that something like Covid might happen, war could break out, volcanoes might happen, aliens might land (in other words), there are no guarantees, and Petflight does not, and will not guarantee anything.
